Could the mods please be more proactives...

...in warning those who simply post spam in every thread criticizing everything in a whiny, flaming fashion.

I think we all know to whom I am referring.

It really needs to stop. It's making these boards shitty.

Yeah thats one of the things that really gets on my nerves about this forum, though i'm probably guilty of doing it in some people's eyes I guess.

I've PMed a few of the worst offenders recently about this topic, but the long and short of it is, no, there is not alot we can do. Moderators don't have banning or other user control rights on this forum, we can delete flames and lock threads but we can't really enforce andthing more then that. I don't want to threaten people with punishments I can't enforce, and it slows things down signifigantly when I have to ask jelmer to warn someone and then ask him again to ban them. He's a busy guy.

Should moderators get banning rights? That's up to spring administration, but in my opinion it would help us to be more effective.

I knew I sat through that anime for a reason! It was to know pointless trivia. Also I didn't want to sit through the live action version.

I will have to look into it. See I heard the converse of what you said was true. IE I've been hoodwinked. Hoodwinked is a cool word, by the way.
