request a huge map for nuclear test

after pretest a weapon damage 10 000 000 and area of effect 1000 work good =

but the maps are so tiny for this battle style
if possible to make a map with a 32x32 or 64x64 with soft ground (100)
maybee hills and trees?

but huge map is a priority(soft)
can try the tab key have no empty side

Just edit the smd of an existing map and you're set.

Maps are actually archives of files, usually in the .sd7 format, which can be opened, viewed, edited, etc., with 7zip(a free program you can grab here: http://www.7-zip.org/). When you open one of these .sd7 map files, you will see a folder called "maps." In this folder, there will be a file called <whatever the map is called>.smd. You can open an smd file in any text editor, such as notepad or wordpad. Once you've got the .smd open, just find a line that looks similar to this:

MapHardness=175;

Simply change the number in this line to change the hardness of the ground, a lower number means softer ground. 175 isn't very deformable, you could try something more like 50-75 for some very soft ground to play around with. Once you've got the hardness changed, just save the file and 7zip should ask you if you want to update the file within the archive; just say yes and it will save the file within the archive and presto, you have the same map but with softer ground! Just load it up and play away :D
Also, you can easily do the same thing to change the hardness back to whatever it was, if you want the map to be normal again.

Man, i must say those explosions look so cool ? Are they normal nuclear explosions with all the goodies turned on or have you self made up that effect ?

hmm those explosions look soooo fricking nice i must say i cant wait till this mod is done but how is the thing that you need some1 test i can do it for ya really maby i can join your mod team or what i can model and texture and script ( a bit ) soo?

PM me when you need a tester or just for your modding team ^^

If you want a large map with softer ground, you might want to try Sanctuary, it's a 32x32 map, and the hardness varies between 160 and 105.

FizWizz about sanctuary(beta?) how the softness can vary???


all things in video are taspring 71b2 only (in lowest details=can t see waves in water but white efect slowest the game need to be disabling and smoke too)

32x32 maps is a minimal for i download it and maybe 10 are in my taspring
i search a 64x64
i founded a 40x40 battle range seems or battle something

but i firstly mod totalA by searching the 3rd party units and after changing menus and cost and texture and so i work under wings 3d but all units scripts are stolen
i think about make map but quality is good and if i change softness i think can be wait again

Interessting video.
So you are making a "Nuke mod"?
Can you upload some more screenshots or something?

There are many maps with soft sand and hard rocks/mountains for examples.
You can also make tanks faster on this terrain but slower on that terrain etc.

Maybe try "Atlantis" (map of the world), its quite big but dont remember about the hardness.

WinRar also does 7z (and, by extension, .sdz and .sd7 as they are just renamed 7z)... it also does .rar, .zip, and many other formats...

try to see for atlantis...
i test changing hardness
that work fine
i use a 50 value for craggy hills
and make a video uploaded in hour
winrar make rar is better but isn t a freeware(my period test exced by 968 days)

is not really a nuc mod but a builder mod where all unt can build and are very expensiv and strong but economic are efficient (little metal extractor give 200)

i try a value of 1 000 000 000 damag but after 10 minut the game crash for unknow
test result is =
smoke slowly the game is red when increasing damag
radius of effect is not visible and slowly when changing ground height
found combination is= damag 8000 areaofeffect 1000
the others slow or not nice seems
maybe 8 time more damag than radius...
continu test

is atlantis a 1mega map???
i remind to see a world map but today not found at fileuniverse...

every unit has a cockpit with a little pilot-dude :shock:
All units and weapons are very cool now its the challenge to combine them into a good mod.
I think this mod might be very hard to balance, are you going for a gameplay similiar to nanoblobs?

There is lots of smoke which slows my computer down alot, but then I usually play without dynamic water so maybe that was the problem.
The waterwaves are very small by the way, I might post screenshots tommorrow.

some small bugs:
the yellow laser from the rocketbuild-mortier (the bulldozer thing) is fired from its bottom and not from the rotating gun at the end.

the robfactory cant do anything? (or just unfinished?)

the texture of the baricade is some messed up stuff from other textures (logos, etc) but this might be on purpose?

the six-wheel-rocket-car fires all its 4 missles from one salvo onto the same spot...it can't target more than one target...

i don t want my unit can t attack kind of ennemy
in first time i mod for all but the number of existing units are impressiv maybe 5000 with 1000 goods
after i chooose better only commanders
the second step is modelise crew for all units for scale the gameplay
try to put the view in by c key and drive in your city you will see the quality of this improvement
now i study construction plane and loader/transport
maybe i not implement nobuilders unit
it seem a loader can t build....

i like wing but firstly i use blender
and now they say format s3o can be make with gameblender and it s greatfull but i try upspring and don t understand
i had a friend for learn 3ds after with blender i found alone and wings too but upspring is special or i don t really want change because i m old man
so i think about end my mod firstly but it s never ended
when i start wings it s quicly learned but for started i wait 2 or 3 month...
