Discuss game development here, from a distinct game project to an accessible third-party mutator, down to the interaction and design of individual units if you like.

Yay! I can pretend I'm cool!
Pwned you. I have one that predates the techno-zoids. My brother and I wanted to get into model-building and they looked cool. They were a huge pain - popping out hundreds of little bits and snapping them together. I had a big white gorilla mech called "goro" I think, a blue tri-tops, a little buffalo, and a little quadrapedal pteradactyl.
<--Gorem, the hardest to build. Apparently this was like a super-rare one from the '80s. Just found it last year... it was broken in six places and missing pieces, so I threw it out :_(
I'll try to get the the link custom model site I found back in the days. It was full of Zoids remodels and they were very good looking. I've seen the above one in metallic/black and more variants. Especially that site features nearly all Zoids out there, so you don't have to google for random toy packing images.
Upped colors, and look closely to find a few textured items I did
I made em kinda shiny, but not in the diffuse/specular way
Anyhow, on to the death stinger and his taut tail
When the tail is like it is, it is ready to fire its CPC (Charged Particle Cannon), so it is ready to vent the hot parts, thus the tail having those flaps opened
Just for information : that is what I call a super-heavy tank : the famous Baneblade (W40k):
3500 poly
There is brothers too, workshop modifications :
-the Stormblade, with a hull-mounted plasma hlast gun,
-the Stormhammer, with two pairs of twin heavy battle canons, mounted on two main turrets,
-the StormSword, with a hull-mounted super-heavy mortar,
-the Shadowsword, with a hull-monted volcano cannon,
I'll make them later...

Well, where is it...
The Imperator class Titan...
(About 250m height)
But unfinished, and useless : it is too big, even in Spring... One day, I'll make the Apocalypse class battleship...Real-sized, it would be as big as a whole map...
Humans were perfecting an AI that Collectively thinks (Collectively means together, in a group, like ants) and while doing this Aliens decided they wanted to also...
The Humans allowed their recent allies to use it, and try it, however.... Things got competitive... Humans wanted to make the AI's fight against each other to see whose was best....
Humans drove it over the line, they said Aliens were cheating, and Aliens said Humans were cheating, slanderous terms were used, and things got hostile....
Humans started cheating, seriously, they started pitting actual humans in the arenas instead of robots, then Aliens caught on....
This all happened while robots were collecting information.....
The robots studied the fighting styles of Aliens and Humans against each other.....
The robots had the knowledge of all the technology ever made, as they were the ones it was used on, during the fighting....
The Aliens and Humans tension broke into fights on the outskirts of each races borders.....
Aliens and Humans leaders got irritated, Humans decided to cool down, Aliens decided to take a vote.....
Eventually commanders and armys of aliens were dispatched and making a bloody cut into Human territory....
War in the name of defence was voted upon, and the war started sparking to life, like a fire that grows larger....
Everyone forgot about the AI, noone noticed it was gone....
A little way into the war, a certain meeting happened on a dune planet, the group was thought to be another squad of humans, because the tanks were refined and well-made....
The squad mysteriously was destroyed, while the others remained uninjured, messages were sent to the other squad but, no messages came back....
They finally realized, the AI had escaped and using the technology it had found, it had created higher technolgical advances....
The full spectrum of the war was finally seen, the AI was an enemy, too....
This is where we are now, you decide the fate of your race, Commander....
Hell, as soon as I get on my computer I am going to finish the commander!
PS: Is it possible to have a dropship style entrance for commanders? My commander is a dropship that will come down from sky and unfold into a spider...
