Re: Where to put scripts?
I've been a bit of an idiot and posted to 2 seperate topics on this forum. So I'll stop posting here and instead refer anybody to this: http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=16223&p=388850#p388850 Basically what you say makes complete sense - but checking infolog.txt gives me no cl...

Re: [WIP] Rough draft of Spring Lua Guide
Here's the output of infolog.txt : http://pastebin.com/m590a1159 As you can see, there are no errors, nor are there any references to the test.lua script, basically it seem like it's being ignored. This is annoying since I'm fine with Lua code, and the rest of your guide seems solid, I just need to ...

Where to put scripts?
Where do you put scripts having written them? I'm following the guide sticked to the top of this forum and I'm having problems. Having written a test script, it says to place this in Spring/LuaUI/Widgets/test.lua. As I'm on Linux I've put it into ~/.spring/LuaUI/Widgets/test.lua (and also tried /usr...

Re: Lobster Network
This looks like a solution looking desperately for a problem to solve. I can't believe you'd get anybody willing to pay for a service like this since, as somebody else pointed out, you're not far away from a facebook app or similar. Also, as has also been said, the whole 'lobster' theme doesn't make...

Re: [WIP] Rough draft of Spring Lua Guide
Where do you put the new widgets? I'm following the guide and on page 5 is says to try the bare-bones script in Spring/LuaUI/Widgets/test.lua . As I'm on Linux I've put it into ~/.spring/LuaUI/Widgets/test.lua (and also tried /usr/share/games/spring/LuaUI/Widgets/test.lua ) and it fails to show up. ...

Re: Anybody here need a Lua coder?
Thanks for the replies guys (and girls?). For those who said to contact in the Spring Lobby, that could be a problem since I'm based in China, so I tend to around at strange hours. Other than that, I'll take look at the links given and see what whets my appetite. You won't see anything too flash for...

Anybody here need a Lua coder?
Hi all. I've been a programmer for the last 23 years or so - mainly Assembly, C, Perl, Lisp and Python. Recently I've been learning Lua (and deciding I quite like it!). I'd like to help out on some Spring mod to enhance my Lua skills (rather than just go through the project Euler exercises to practi...
