Re: Kernel Panic 4.4
Hi, I'm packaging KP for debian, and I'll do with 4.4 release. I would ask a question, about the 'Public Domain' concept, it is ok for a license text like this one: The Work may be freely reproduced, distributed, transmitted, used, modified, built upon, or otherwise exploited by anyone for any purpo...

-march=i686 and SSE on debian i386 packages
I asked about i686 and SSE on i386 debian packages to a couple of debian (DD) guys, it seems sufficient that I use a shell wrapper on unfortunate CPUs just to do not have a SIGILL thrown to annoy the user. The best thing is if that this kind of check could be done in the spring executable itself and...

Could this licence rework be included in next release ?
I'll open a mantis bug to help tracking.

GML - OpenGL Multithreading Library License
Hi, debian-games folks raised to my attention that the OpenGL Multithreading Library License as found in "rts/lib/gml/gml.cpp" in the sources is "too ambiguous to be FSF-free or DFSG-free". They asked me if the author can provide a licence like MIT/Expat or BSD license (or a diff...

Re: Debian SID (semi) officials packages for Spring
If you don't want to put this huge binary package in the normal Debian archive you could put it in some personal repo only. I uploaded it to my personal repository and on mentors.debian.net, so it will be available on debian soon. I uploaded also a -dbg version of springlobby, please do not open a ...

Re: Debian SID (semi) officials packages for Spring
ehh nice! congratulation! :-) just saw that there is a bug report page on this site you linked, and there is a bug report there already. now... i found this by chance, but it is unlikely that any of the spring devs will check this page regularly/ever. soo.. either somehow. turn off this reports pag...

Take 1 failed
Bad news , my spring package upload was rejected . My fault since I left in the sources two sourceless binaries, formally: "AI/Interfaces/Java/data/jlib/vecmath.jar" and "AI/Interfaces/Java/data/jlib/jna.jar" Are those 2 jars necessaries? Much better: where are the sources of th...

Re: New server
I'm currently working on getting a buildbot setup back for spring. Tobi and I had the idea of generating source packages to be pushed to a buntu ppa. Did you have sth in mind for auto build debian packages already? I have heard of git-buildpackage, but know no details and would very much like help ...

Re: New server
Debian side, I'm publishing packages on alioth as now, but I cannot provide too many map packages due to huge maps sizes; let me know if those idead are something you could want. There are about 1300 maps, making deb packages of them isn't that useful, instead making packages of mods would be good ...

Re: New server
if you have spring-related project that needs hosting, let us know! It can host both linux and windows-based projects. I could be nice for me to have some space to put up a debian spring apt repository, where being able to publish binary and source packages before they hit official repositories. If...

Re: Yet another doomed fantasy mod?
The distros sill use the same access to Spring's downloading systems, so they don't really _need_ the mod file itself to be included in the repos. The only reason you'd want your modfile to be in the repo is if you're marketing it as a stand-alone game the way that KP has its own installer. Having ...

Re: Yet another doomed fantasy mod?
It would be cool to get .deb packages, but I really don't want people selling stuff I'm making for free. That just doesn't seem right to me. If you choose the clause "Share Alike" instead of "Non Commercial", it is very unlikely that your work will be put in a closed source game...

Re: Division Zero and .NET in KP 3.6
Then I'll wait another release of KP with those char stripped before pushing it to debian. There . You must of course use the content of the zip, not the zip itself. Sure, I need anyway to repack it as tar.gz. It would be nice to have a small file telling which license KP use, I saw in ubuntu packa...

Division Zero and .NET in KP 3.6
Hi all,
I'm a newcomer here and I would like to know if Division by Zero and .NET forks are merged in KP3.6 and if they work with latest spring engine.
This because I would like to package Kernel Panic for debian and I want the whole thing if possible.
