Re: Zipping problems
I used to have the same problem... Try compressing your mod into a zip, but use the extension .sdz instead of .sd7 (I'm more of a WinRAR user, so please correct me if I'm wrong about that.) I haven't really noticed much of a difference between the performance of the two file types either, so... yeah...

Re: How to avoid units clumping up in groups?
There is a luawidget called custom formations. That just MIGHT be what you're looking for... http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=18523 http://spring.jobjol.nl/show_file.php?id=1680 oh, and by default in Spring you can also have your units 'Hold Position', that way you can place artil...

Re: Wondering if this is possible with springs
IDEA: Make a mod that is "inspired" by Fleet Command. It would probably be a lot easier, and cleaner. and even though it might not become an exact replica of Fleet Command, it could be a lot like it. lol  EDIT: actually, bad idea. It would still require a lot of work, and a compatibl...

Re: Wondering if this is possible with springs
Hmm, maybe. It would probably take a lot of time and patience though, because you'd more than likely have to do everything from scratch... And please correct me if I'm wrong, but if Blender is compatible with the 3D models that Jane's Fleet Commander uses, then you could export the original models u...

Re: Ta: Kingdoms Spring
I didn't think of that. Drr, lol. Yeah, I could just redo the textures that your race depends on (I won't right now though because at the moment there are far more complex things to worry about.) Also, Illohir was one of the 3rd party races that I hope to add after I finish adding yours. A...

Re: Ta: Kingdoms Spring
Definitely. I'm using 3rd party races and units created for TA:K right now (the OTA:K models are fugly in Spring), yet, most of them still rely on the textures from TA:K itself. So I'm kinda bummed out about that, but, isn't it possible to replace them all with my own textures?

Re: Ta: Kingdoms Spring
I appreciate it azaremoth. As of now, the cursed race is the only race that I will be using until I figure some of this stuff out. _________________________________________________ To be comepletely honest I've forgotten a lot about spring, and I didn't really even have a lot of experience to begin ...

Re: Ta: Kingdoms Spring
Hey everyone, and yeah, I'm back. I wanna say a few things before I get this thread back on topic: I was banned for being completely arrogant and immature. I don't think that I need to get into detail about the things I've done, as they would only be a waste of everyones valuable time. and I am sorr...
