Re: Random WIP
Two new attempts on game sountrack-ish music. The first one is pretty short, just a looped chord with a bit of fiddling around; something with no suspense at all, which sounds a bit dreamy. The second one is my attempt on something heavy, industrial-ish, but without the use of distorted guitar (the ...

Re: New Mapping Tool - "SpringMapEdit" - r660
SpringMapEdit b0rked my texture map, which I painted with it, when I exported it as a seperate .bmp file. Exporting the whole SM2 map seems fine.

Re: next-gen maps
As a matter of fact, the mapping tools and pipeline for Spring is a bit of a mess and due to the way you create maps results are often clunky. There isn't even any information on how the map format actually works, e.g. what Mapconv actually does, which is not really a good sign either. I thinkt that...

Me, too. It has gone a long way since that. Lots of new campaigns, lots of awesome graphics and music and lots of balancing. I still play it every now and then, just for fun :)Finished the first campaign, thought that was when wesnoth was in pre-1.0 version.

Re: Games
Laggy insta-death combat. X2 was laggy insta-death combat with my machine back then. X2/X3 were decent once I bought a new machine... Plus you don't go in combat with IRE's basically. If you had a (i.e. M4) ship with enough shields to get you through a rough time of 10-15 hits if you're maneuvring ...

That was some good trolling, you made my day

PS. We have that in BG, too. Seriously

Wait, whaaaat? People saying Fox isn't full of crap and even people quoting BILD! (ernsthaft, wer seine BILDung von der BILD bekommt... *hust*) Bild is the equivalent of a even more boulevard-ish FOX just in form of a weekly magazine. The next thing we'll read is some Swiss guy quoting Blick, the sm...

Inverse mouse (resp. Y) for the camera movement is weird. I think many would like to have an option for that, whether the mouse is inverse or not. I'd prefer the latter.

Re: New map - Mercury v1 - Now with erupting volcano!
Tried your map in the new 0.08.2 release and it looks like this: http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/4798/whoopsadaisy.th.jpg Any idea what's causing this? Your map is not SM3, right? :P Not sm3. Is it this map only? Nope, noticed that it also applies to other maps, meaning that it has to be some co...

If someone did not point this out... Single player give new people a chance to understand game mechanics and balancing(a very crusial stage in any RTS game). The tactics and strategies get implemented in multilayer only after they actually know what things are. There are very few Highly successful ...

Yeah, it's a pretty nice app for what it does, except you can't resize the window. Post Addendum: You can't resize any system (preferences, info, whatever) window in Windows aside from the task manager. I LOVED this feature in <$insert_linux_DE>... well, most system stuff can be done with a termina...
