Spring RTS Engine

Thx for upgrading the tutorial, i've managed to install Spring. But it loves to crash :). thx anyway

recently i upgraded my system to ubuntu Hardy, but now i can't install spring anymore, did someone had the same problem? Maybe the tutorial should be updated?

Just downloaded the mod, looks pretty cool but after a few minutes or sometimes less than 1 minute the game crashes. Does anyone have a solution for this problem? I'm working in ubuntu and the lobby has been updated today.

I've been watching the forum for some weeks now, and i've seen some pretty cool maps, but i never know what map it is. And when i look on UF-File most of the maps don't have preview images.

So tell me what's your favorite map and if possible some pictures of it :). I love plain maps ^.^

Ground decal bug? I've checked it:
Ground decals = 0

Settings as low as they can go, so the 'ground decals' are automatically set to zero.

is there a way to freeze unnessesary movements, like those wind mills. Or metal extracters. Unless it's useless :).

I run supreme commander in windows fcourse, and it also slows down when i have alot of units but not so much as spring. I was playing in speedmetal and building alot (100) of windtowers --> maybe the spinning thin is hard to render. I don't know :), i keep playing but it would be more fun if i could...
