Re: Sovereignty of Units, or when Dgunning allies is acceptable.
Firstly, NT42, your original post says that, when a player interferes with you 'you should d-gun them or force-fire on their units'. Grief for grief. This is not acceptable. Ive been combombed for reclaiming my own corpses before (the guy wanted to res them >_>). Escalation just hurts more people i...

Re: Sovereignty of Units, or when Dgunning allies is acceptable.
I'm pleased I started this thread; despite the umpromising initial responses I think the debate has become a very good exploration of the philosophical issues. This post aims to clear up one or two misunderstandings and to respond to some of the more significant offerings. Firstly the discussion has...

Re: Sovereignty of Units, or when Dgunning allies is acceptable.
I think some more remarks should be offered here, especially in response to Saktoth's intelligent comments. Lordmatt - that may very well be the case, but it's still my right to conduct a battle as I choose.

Sovereignty of Units, or when Dgunning allies is acceptable.
The two following actions really annoy me: 1) Air players who pick up friendly commanders without asking and either use them as a combomb or just put them down on the other side of the map with the injunction to build there. 2) Any player who reclaims an ally's mex and builds his own there, again wi...

Re: yea
And no it isnt beliefs. Just look at the Opensource community who in the last month or so have already managed to get their opensource version of the ATI driver they started from scratch to start doing things the original closed source drivers still haven't gotten right despite years of time. Free ...

Ground textures and units vanish while playing with ATI card
Has anyone else had a problem where usually while setting waypoints the ground turns completely monotone, the units disappear entirely, and a few buildings are visible as black outlines? It's not always recoverable, and very annoying. I think this might be a problem with ATI cards, since mine is bas...
