For Debian, it is best to susbscribe to
debian-devel-games@lists.debian.org
and write to them. For *buntu, there is no list, but you can join #ubuntu on irc://irc.freenode.net and poke around.

The correct line for the control file so that Debian testing/unstable is happy is: Depends: libboost-regex1.33.1, libboost-thread1.33.1, libc6 (>= 2.5-0ubuntu1), libdevil1c2, libfreetype6 (>= 2.2), libgcc1 (>= 1:4.1.2), libgl1-mesa-glx | libgl1, libglew1 (>= 1.3.4) | libglew1.4, libglu1-mesa | libgl...

Can you ask scott to make the debs depend on libglew1.4 || libglew1 , please? That would make it easier for Debian people.koshi wrote: Try out the debs from http://tuzakey.com/~scott/spring/

To get back to the original topic, you can always get packages into Debian and *buntu as long as they follow the packaging standards and you find a sponsor to do a test and upload, for you. Especially Debian unstable and testing do have some packages that are explicitly marked as software undergoing...

It is always possible to put packages into the development 'branches' of Debian and *buntu, same as some software in the repos, especially in Debian unstable and testing, is simply marked as unfinished software. People who install those are aware that things migh...

Why not get it _into_ Debian & *buntu?
If your packages follow the current packaging rules, you can try to get your packages sponsored. Thus, they would enter Debian & *buntu directly. In case you need help with starting this process, poke me. I am not a DD nor a UD, but I know who to get in touch with.

DxSound: Could not create direct sound object (Deb & Kub
Hi all, I am getting the error: DxSound: Could not create direct sound object with Wine 0.9.44 on both Debian testing & Kubuntu feisty and Spring 0.75b2. As I read that the native Linux port is not stable yet, I didn't try the Linux version. Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated!...
