Re: Balanced Annihilation V7.12

Instead of squabbling over minor balance issues, could we get some of the actual bugs worked out? I just lost a game because a Krow that was intended to snipe the enemy com spent all its survival time shooting the ground around the com's feet instead. And no, I didn't accidentally target the ground ...

Re: Complete Annihilation News

You mean the aircraft and mex ones? I kind of like them, though they're too dark and the the team colors don't show very well at all. (I probably shouldn't open that old debate again, but oh well.) Look too detailed compared to everything else at the moment though, the Core style is going to have to...

Re: New Map: Charlie in the Hills v2.1

Is it intended that some of the mountains are flat on top? it adds some interesting gameplay with air constructors or air drops of constructors, but if so, there are considerably more flat areas in the north east areas of the map than southern ones. I have yet to determine which side this is an adva...

That's why you're supposed to mix the missile towers with llts at the very least. Just because they're able to shoot at ground units doesn't mean they're intended to be any good at it.

well, you have to tech up and it still takes time and resorces to morph. and if you dont build tier2 con/ engineers you doin it wrong. True, and I do build t2 constructors for fusions and antinuke purposes and such, but for consistency's sake it seems like the HLT to tachyon morph should work the s...

That seems a bit cheap, since it pretty much eliminates the need for the core combat engineer or t2 cons in general to be able to build military stuff, morphing at this point makes t1 cons able to make just about everything already. Edit: And for those that start with kbots, t2 constructors don't co...

There doesn't appear to be an experience requirement for morphing HLTs to tachyon/Doomsday like there is between most of the other military building morphs. Is this intended?

yup Play CA if you want a fair game. quit bitching here, nothing will ever happen to actually improve BA anymore. Comments like that don't bring positive results for any mod. And are far more likely to drive people away from CA since apparently the only other people playing it are snobs and slander...

Add "Lo" for Hebrew.

And I'd prefer if signatures were left disabled for the time being.

Not to nit pick, but could updates at least be grouped so that they were once per 24 hours or so? Even with the updater program so many people are playing so many different subversions currently that it is difficult to get game going if you happened to miss downloading that particular update. :|

Ah, thanks. That appears to be the problem.

Edit: Nope, that fixed the zero for my version, but I'm still getting the same result when trying to update.

Well, I've got a problem. I started CA update, told it where spring.exe was, then it said "error checking CA version" in the little bar at the bottom and is telling me that the current version and the version I have of CA are both zero. Clicking "update now" tells me I have current version and cause...

Also, make sure there is a period between the map name and the sd7, UF apparently has a habit of removing them and the files won't work without.

So if you download a file called "digsitesd7" you should rename it to "digsite.sd7".

That is unless I'm living in some sort of bizarre alternate reality... :|
