Should the forum be able to show signatures?
There are pros and cons to each side.
The Pros being people can more easily advertise for their mods, and help other members to get to know a little about them and their interests.
The Cons being that there are people out there that like to abuse this and use inappropriate signatures, and use it to link to "bad" web sites.

Some day I'm going to enable sigs without telling anyone, just to piss everyone off
Basically... we've never had sigs in the past because back in the day the SY's didn't like them, and we have gotten along fine until now, so I don't see a pressing need to enable them suddenly. A lack of sigs are just part of the culture here now.

Plus it means, of all the forums I read, this one looks the nicest and is easiest to read.
Signatures are a stupid concept for messageboards, IMO.
(I understand, of course, that back when the 'net was young forum posts were more like emails and less like a conversation, so signatures made sense. But nowadays, in a modern forum, why you would allow big blocks of flashy graphical crap to interrupt the column of text you are trying to read is beyond me.)
If we have to change this someday, I would set a limit of 1 line, text only sigs.
