Should respect everyone untill they prove themselves not deserving of respect, but this respect should come because it is the right thing to do, not because it is demanded from you.

I have an issue with the phrasing of this rule: 6. Disrespect of moderators decisions or forum rules will not be allowed. Disagreeing with the actions or opinions of a moderator in a moderation case is fine, but any sign of disrespect will be looked upon with grave seriousness. Ultimately we are her...

As far as I know, you cant copyright file names, however, Arm and Core are probably trademarked or something of the sort, along with the Arm and Core Logos.

This is not an issue with third party races, as they can just be removed.

Whats the problem with just deleting useless flame posts?
They are essentially spam, so they may as well just go.

Ahh, whoops, that would explain it, I always though you multiplied by 1024.

At any rate, i cant make them big enough, I want it big enough so that an intimidator cannot hit the enemies base.

Metal Map im working on

Well, ive always wanted to make a map for TA with shallow water, abe before now, you had to render any shallow water you wanted in a 3d renderer, pretty much, it wasnt really doable, at least, not easily, and with mapmaking for TA Spring, it is, and its easy, too. This is far from finished, before I...

Evidently it also wont handle files above 200 or so MB, I get out of memory errors when trying to make maps larger than 8 by 8.

Edit: looks like I do have swap space, back to my original plan of reinstallign wondows, linux wont do the job this time.

As others have mentioned, be best to make the terrain less rounded, metal has sharp edges, not round corners. (generally) A typical command line entry to make a metal map that I use would be: wine MapConv.exe -i -c 0.1 -n -109 -x 146 -t bigmetal.bmp -m metalmap.bmp -a platformheight.bmp -o platformr...

Add Inkscape to the list of tools, perhaps, or other vector graphics programs, they seem great for making metal maps (of course, you then have to convert the SVG or whatever file to BMP, but you can do so at multiple resolutions). Oh, and mapconv works in wine on linux, it heats up your computer tho...

True, but it will probably do it anyway if I set the memory limit and execution time high enough.
