It's a signal to the client that they have now reached the point where the server has sent them all available information about the battle I fail to see the significance of this information – but I guess there could be a reason a client may want to know this, even if I can't think of one. A couple other protocol anomalies that should be fixed…

BATTLEOPENED sends channel as a sentence. In all channel-related commands, it's handled as a word.
Also JOINBATTLE is sending the channel argument, even though it appears undocumented in the protocol.

Seems simple enough that lobbies understand they need to send their battle status when they join a battle. Afaics in the Uberserver implementation it would take 5 seconds to remove the command. Is there some reason that other lobbies depends on this? It doesn't cause any problems for the command to ...

I heard someone say that Spring-dedicated can run maps that aren't downloaded on the host, and that got me wondering whether it needs the game downloaded also, and why. Thanks Silentwings, my code is now fixed and it finds my downloaded files! Solution was to call UnInit before Init when reloading. That hadn't worked for me the first time because I had another error elsewhere, but understanding what to expect made it easier to track that down. Off by one errors… :r...

The concept has a lot of merit, could use some refinement but with random WIPS I'm not sure refinement is the point? :D
The three on the right look really pretty too. A bit of deviation in style between them (and green v.s. red colouring could use a pattern). But I like where you're going with this.

Closely related would be hosts hosting development versions. I think for the sake of the average user, these test hosts should be hidden – and an option added to preferences (or something) in SL for them to be shown. Would require an extra flag added to the lobby battle protocol, and changes to host...
