I was just wondering what you people thought. Or if someone knew something I didn't. I was being treated like a 6 year old with some money is his hand interested in buying some candy. Also, theres a difference when someone is waiting is for the next big thing and it's a year off and when it could be...

The Newegg laptops are ripoffs, at least spec wise. A similar laptop from Dell is ~<$1400. Dell laptops are terrible with poor designs and miserable support. I have never had a Dell laptop which has not suffered from at least two of these issues; overheating/fan failure, monitor/graphics card insta...

I don't think I can overstate this.... I am not an idiot or a newbie when it comes to computers!!! Yes I know about building computers, all of my pc's were custom built, by me. I find that newegg has is about 10% cheaper than the suggested retail prices, where as fry and other stores tend to be 10-2...

Actually, a 8800GTS is closer to three times as strong as an 7900GX2, and is cheaper.
What's the battery life of that Zenith SuperSport. I've seen a macbook get 8 hours.

But that'll take up even more space, and I won't be able to game at school / on the porch / in coffeeshops / at college . Nicely put the main reason why you would want a gaming laptop. Fixed But speaking of, this thread is now officially go no where. I would probably be better off getting an OLPC .

I'm pretty aware of what I'm walking into. I built my last pc with a lan-party case and it came out about half the size of a normal case, but it still wasn't enough. Every couple of weeks someone had to complain about where I put my pc so I had to move it. Moving everything around across my house se...

In my case, I need a laptop because I am stuck on dial-up at home. Right now, I plan to get this laptop http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16834220123 but since I have a working computer already, though crappy, I am going to wait until a better laptop for cheaper comes out, and I do...

The tower can be shoved underneath the desk, so all you have to worry about is the monitor, keyboard and mouse. The touchpad on laptops are annoying as hell so most people use mice. As a desktop replacement, laptops usually take up the same amount of space. The laptops strong point is that it's mobi...

I'm not an idiot or a newbie when it comes to computers. I realize I'm digging a grave by investing into a laptop, but I don't have much of a choice right now. Maybe in a year or a little sooner I can get a desktop. I think that right now I'm right before a corner in technology and that whatever I c...

Should I buy a gaming lappie now?

I'm thinking of whether I should buy a gaming laptop now. And I need mobility, I can't get a desktop right now. I'm not going for super high end specs anyway, I think the a8js, with the geforce go 7700, would be plentiful. However, I believe in a couple of months the new gpus will be coming out, Nvi...

What's supposed to happen when they get this right is that the fusion generator will produce all the energy it needs to do fusion. It will be a self-sufficient generator. In the process it will boil water, force a lot of steam through a very small point to make it go very fast, then it will turn tur...

By the time I end a game, most of the map is underwater. So I guess in reality it doesn't really matter, but its still something nice to show off.

NO! SM3 is just a file format. Ok, I can breath again. :-) The maps look great, now we should worry about how our units look. It's kinda funny to see next-next-gen maps next to prehistoric graphics looking units. Things always perform like crap in the beginning. Maybe theres some optimizations you ...

This all of a sudden hit me, and I don't know why now. SM3 is a directx technology right? Meaning that a map made with it won't work in linux right? :!: :?: :!:

I don't think this site could handle a lot of players with it's current structure and organization. And this shouldn't be left to several people, everyone active on the forums should parti...
