Re: IceUI

Downloaded this from the widget database, and the widget crashes multiple times per game. Anyone else had this problem, any known fix? It's a really nice UI otherwise, so would be cool to get it running properly.

Re: Good way to generate detail texture distribution?

Thanks for the detailed description Artturi! Cloud render indeed makes the texture look a lot more organic and non-repetitive.

Re: Water reflections look odd for me

This happens on both fullscreen and windowed.

I tested with different versions. Happens with 88.0, 87.0, and 86.0. Doesn't happen with 85.0 and earlier.

Water reflections look odd for me

Water reflections look odd on all maps, here's an example

So is it just me, or is this a general spring issue? I'm using nvidia driver 296.10.

Good way to generate detail texture distribution?

The map development tutorial (http://springrts.com/wiki/SSMF:_Distribution_Map) does show a nice picture of how a detail texture map is supposed to look, but I'm still not sure of how to get to this end result. Is the best way just to paint over your texturemap with a red, green, and blue brush? Or ...

Sun direction question

I'm trying to make a specular map with l3dt. When making a light map, it asks for sun direction and elevation in degrees. How can I translate spring's sun direction values into this format?

The map's SunDir=0.008 0.556 -0.444 (taken directly from SSB)

Thanks!

That's what it was indeed, recompiling the map fixed it. Thanks for the rapid response!

Stripes on the map when zooming out

Hello! When I zoom out a bit, I start getting these stripes on the map texture. http://imgur.com/4a2U6 This happens on some maps, but not all of them. It's an old bug, started happening to me almost a year ago. I've been fine with it, but I'd like to get rid of it now, since it hampers the taking of...

Software for editing 16 bit heightmaps?

Anyone know a good (preferably free) image editor to edit 16 bit png heightmaps? Gimp doesn't seem to support this, unfortunately.
