| Summary | 0000766: Spring lags. | ||||
| Description | Something in the new version results in Spring being unplayable. Every player lags much more than in the previous version. I have no way to narrow it down. Spring ran quite well previously with decent settings. Now with all settings turned down it lags, and that seems the case with everyone. My system specs: AMD Turion ML-40, 2 GIGS RAM, ATI 300M 128 MB dedicated video card, Windows XP +SP2 | ||||

1. check settings | expert mode | ground decals, make sure it's not higher than 1 2. try playing in los mode ('L' during the game) |

Make sure your anti-aliasing isn't set to a ridiculously high setting, I recommend maxing out at 2 or 4x. |

I think maybe he is referring to the high pings. |

I've seen this specially on metal maps. When players build air, specially if they build heavy aircrafts and attack, springs runs slower than a slideshow. It almost freezes right when the aircrafts take off, and becomes frozen even before the aircrafts reach the enemy base. In previous version I used to see spring running like a slideshow in that situation, but now it runs worse for some reason, not 1fps, but something like 10 seconds to see a single frame, to the point it completely freezes. I can't play SpeedBalls anymore, even with no air something is making it runs very very slow. PS: Decals are off. Or are they on?! I checked it and it's configured to 0, aloo I don't seem to see decals in game. |
