| Summary | 0006427: Feature: Air/Gunship MoveType value to set wantedHeight relative to sea level | ||||
| Description | I have just been asked how to make satellite units that hover high above the map without being affected by the height of the terrain. This could be achieved with a new boolean for Spring.MoveCtrl.Set{Air,Gunship}MoveTypeData that makes wantedHeight behave relative to sea level rather than the terrain near the aircraft. | ||||

Actually a more versatile system would let you set a minimum absolute cruise height. This would create the possibility of planes that fly flat over lowlands, but still divert to fly over mountains. |
