This issue only applies to windows on my system.
Linux does not have the issue

try to set DebugGL=1 and see if some errors in infolog.txt appear.

toggle DebugGL gives
[f=-000001] [GR::ToggleGLDebugOutput] OpenGL debug-context not installed (dbgErrors=0 dbgTraces=0)
