| Summary | 0000629: CSimpleGroundFlash and z-order | ||||
| Description | I have tested CSimpleGroundFlash on several different machines over the last week, prior to initial release to the artists working on the project. I found that CSimpleGroundFlash does not draw reliably on many machines, and that there are problems with it and the GroundScars, where it appears that GroundScars are over-drawing or even culling CSimpleGroundFlash events. Needless to say, this is not good- it means that this particular FX, which can be used for a wide variety of things, will look great on some machines, but will either not draw, or draw very poorly on others. Given that very few potential uses of this code are going to require multiples of this CEG type, could somebody please make this z-buffer aware, and draw after the GroundScar? It's very annoying to have it get culled by, say, a CSphereParticleSpawner, or see it clipped by a Heatcloud, etc... | ||||
