| Summary | 0005946: Unable to load Bots in Multiplayer | ||||
| Description | My friend and I downloaded the game and we can both individually play the game with loaded bots. The moment we go to multiplayer to play the game we are unable to play at all. If we remove the bots we can go against each other. For us this issue has been 100%, but I have spectated others who are able to play with AI, so I don't know which variable is being missed. The loading/splash screen will load properly but once we are in game when the bots / ai are initializing we freeze and are unable to play. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Assumptions: Engine: 104 Game: BA 10.06 Multiplayer 1. Load a multiplayer game 2 players, 2 bots, generic / basic settings 2. Load the game 3. Observe that bots will not load and game will stay at the loaded map indefinitely. | ||||

instead of listing assumptions, in general it is better to attach an infolog. unfortunately most available bots are very old, barely maintained and not guaranteed to work. ask BA's developers which AI(s) can play it. |

Hello Kloot, Attached is the log file you asked for. I do know it says NullAI, but we receive the same problem each time we load any bots. I believe I could narrow it to bots being on the same TEAM or Players being on the same Team ID. When we didn't modify Team ID we were able to load into the game using the KAIK bot. Him and I were Team 1 and two KAIK bots would be team 2 and the commanders wouldnt drop. If you need a log file for that scenario let me know. Thanks! |

You may be getting confused by Spring's terminology and setting up the game incorrectly. What you think of as "team" Spring calls an "allyteam", and what you think of as a "player" Spring calls a "team". If you want to play a 2v2 against two bots, put yourself (team 1) and your friend (team 2) in allyteam 1 and both bots (teams 3 and 4) in allyteam 2. |
