| Summary | 0000055: Bluescreen of Death crash when units thrown out of map. | ||||
| Description | I created a unit that fires a weapon with negative impulsefactor (draws the struck unit towards the firing unit) but in the process of tweaking, units often get hurled out of the map. Generally, whenever the negative impulsefactor weapon fires into a group of units, spring dies, and the crash dialogue shows. When I press exit on that dialogue, my computer crashes to a BSoD. I can usually avoid the bluescreen by minimizing spring and ending the spring.exe process with taskmanager. Here is a download link for the demo, the unit that caused the crash (otherwise a very simple unit - really just a way to demonstrate this issue) and the log file of the game. Note: the unit included in the zip is a nerfed version - I zipped it up before I remembered that I had reduced the damage of the weapon to prevent this crash from happening again (currently the weapon does very little, just a very small tug) The attached file is the version that I was using when spring crashed. |

Does this still happen with Spring 0.75b2 or later? |

Highly doubtful..I see things blown off the map all the time with no loss of stability. |

I'm also fairly certain this is not an issue in 75b2. |
