please inform yourself better (http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=30044), nothing is "wrong". the cache subdir gets created under the first found *writeable* SPRING data directory and for you this is ~/.config/spring. |

Currently Spring defines a single writedir at start and uses it for all writing. Changing it in a KISS way isn't simple, feel free to submit patches. |
