hmm, 100% reproduceable at this machine...updated newest nvidia drivers, still crashes.

an idea which setting could possible avoid the crash?

--safemode crashes, too. resetting nvidia driver settings to defaults doesn't help...

Neither those demos nor standalone tests crash for me, does not mean there can't still be a bug of course. On the other hand the stacktrace points to model loading code (so this should not depend on any particular setting(s)), and since corcrw (Krow) is seen pretty often in large BA games we should have more reports by now if that is broken.

sorry, don't have the broken files any more... spring should print out some bad warning about that...
