		infolog.txt please edit: stupid me. can use the infolog.txt from the other ticket. still don't see anything suspicious in there. try "--safemode" and/or empty springsettings.cfg  |

	I think I know why the unit is black, as I noticed something similar on the map Escarpment_v2. The tree leaves were black, so I checked in upspring and indeed, if a face has vertex normals of (0,0,0), it will be black. (see attached screenshot0085) |

		a model (or parts of it) being black should itself be enough of a hint/warning, because there is only one way that can happen and will already be visible in upspring. zero-normals could also be randomized to make it even more obvious.  |

	Please dont randomize the normals, it is a way more subtle bug to troubleshoot than a black unit with a warning in infolog. |
