Summary | 0001940: Model scale tag in the unit definition file
Description | Benefits: 1) Allows modders to programmatically generate units that have the same model but a different size. 2) Resizing models is a common operation in the process of creating a mod. Currently the model needs to be rescaled in the modeling program and imported again, otherwise Upspring will scale the normals incorrectly. The proposed feature would make this operation as easy as editing a variable. 3) Some licenses don't allow models to be modified without permission. A scale tag would allow modders to employ models licensed under those terms that use an unsuitable scale.

This would also allow games to scale features to a correct scale for their units |
