Yes, this is quite inconvenient. From my point of view it renders the feature useless at a LOD distance of 100, which is what I'm using due to slow hardware. I prefer to have an icon distance of 100 because then I know who owns the units that are running at me.
Alternatively they could all have a boring colour that isn't noticeable and then add a feature to switch on TeamPlatter at the distance where the unit becomes low detail. Maybe on a unit-by-unit basis, depending on which ones have gone low detail. This would be helpful anyway, as at some distances you can't tell who owns the unit even without this rendering issue. I find myself zooming further out to get icons just so I can see the teams again. |
