Summary0001802: Viewport to 3D coords translation is not accurate?
DescriptionI played in windowed mode. Look at screen020.jpg. My cursor is right over reclaimable feature but cursor does not indicate this. When i move cursor a bit above (screen021.jpg) - everything is ok. If i make camera view more ortogonal the issue disappears. This is very irritating in gameplay.

i have seen a similar issue, i remember seeing it in NOTA, but can not say if it was more there then in other mods. It was most notable with some of the labs, where i could only click on them on the eastern half, and clicks on the western half went trough to the map.

Can reproduce it. Both in current master (e446cea4704e07e34d23cc256348080e5c97cd6c) and 0.80.5.2.

Appears to be influenced by camera position/angle too.

Features on top of screen seem to have their hitsphere moved to far north.
Features on right of screen seem to have their hitsphere moved to far east.

no, is still around in master as of 26. March 2011 / 0.82.3-1626-g1a356e3
i tested in BA 7.20 on Tabula with the arm T1 kbot lab, and it indeed seems worse with steeper camera angles then from top-down

I've experienced this bug in Zero-K as well when using CarRepairer's Combo Overhead/Free Camera widget (newer version of the Complete Camera Control widget). I've also experience it when flipping the map using the command /viewtaflip. I originally posted the bug on zero-k's website. I also made a short youtube video of the bug as well. I'll post links to both. Hope this helps.

nicedanmonkey's problem is definitely gone after my recent CGround fixes.

slogic's may or may not persist, but I couldn't reproduce it by duplicating the camera position/angle + armmex_heap wreck from his screenshot at least (553d49e050bc9ea1).
