| Summary | 0001262: Units do not use collision primitives for aiming. | ||||
| Description | When a unit aims at a target, considers a firing solution(line of fire) it will still treat the unit's sphere as the actual area to target. This is problematic because: a) the unit will still think it is blocked by the sphere b) if the sphere center is not the collision center, the unit will miss. | ||||
| Additional Information | If videos, screenshots etc you guys know where to find me. | ||||

|
From what I can tell a) is about avoidFriendly and b) is about where the unitPos is reported (uses the model center, not the collision shape center). |

|
does this mean it is no bug at all? |

It was, but the aimpoint can now be explicitly controlled (reference from a few months ago: http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=18437 ). |
