HOLY SHIT I actually made a map! This is fucking unbelievable! And it only took me like 45 minutes! (I've never made a map before!)

I'd like to thank Forboding for his wonderful tutorial, and whoever wrote the wiki about using mapconv...

Anyway, it's nothing special, horribly out of scale and only 2x2... but it works! Dear god it WORKS!!!

(PS: It's supposed to be some bocage country a la western France circa 1944...)

ZOMMOMMGGG I'm so psyched.

Hmm, it'd be nice to have good ol' Lambie back...

Anyway, I found the first map far, far too small (duh, 2x2) and also horribly unscaled (soldiers would've been 30 foot monsters on it!) so I did some work editing it and stuff and came out with a nice 8x8 infantry map. Here are some screens:

And it's pretty much done! The hedgerows block pretty much any vehicle (but not infantry), and thusly vehicles will either be unable to go some places or have to stick to the roadways. There are a couple of access points to the fields but not many. There's a forest on the eastern side but otherwise its open fields and hedgerows...

If you want extreme hedges go to England. They're one of the more suprising features of the English countryside to have to explain to foreigners (that and styles). I guess because we're such a densly populated island large parts of England are divied up into fields no bigger than those on that map, generaly seperated by dry-stone wall corred hedges.

Very nice! One more thing it does really need: fields. You know, actual plants, wheat and stuff like that. Tall yellow grass.

Update: Me and Flozi worked on some features, specifally, corn!

Unfortunately there seem to be massive issues with lag, so we're working on it... anyway, there are two types of corn, big and small. That is big. Smaller ones go up to about abdomen/chest height.
