I know its old advice to have 4px of space - but sometimes it just blured into a mess anyway.. so i looked on the texture and tryied it completely without mip-maps- and voila. Tearing free.
Got me wondering- what are optimal mipmap settings ?

If you are using nvdxt, then the least amount of bleeding occurs with the -Box option. Imo the best visual quality is obtained with -Sinc though.
