Maybe I was just blind that i missed big thread about it here, maybe not, so I am first, curious, dude.

It arrised few weeks ago, so maybe it missed us all by some crazy way. If you knew about it, send me back a big "L" as answer. :mrgreen:

Ehm, but...

... do we want support this via Spring ModDB page? I dont say its bad, you dont say its bad, of course. No discussion, yet, no problem.

You know... Some people would say "it would be perfect crazy tool that helps engine a lot and make very good promo for it". But, I repeat, you know, there is other kind of people here which guard the OLT v2+ (Only Legal Truth v2 or later) and i can imagine such Steam-embeded stuff with closed code make them hot.

So I wish responsible leaders take an action fast to prevent huge demotivation explosion in mind of author of that brave plan. I dont want see similar sad story as the one which grown in history of this community once before in case of similar project with big ambitions.

So much pathos, so much fail. It actually manages to look worse than Spring while having less features. The promo keeps talking about terrain, but all they show is flat tiles...

Is that spring? I dunno looks worse.

However it looks neat if it is, it is akin to what I have been working towards with my GBS core only way more user friendly! So if he pulled it off bravo!

I won't be able to look on anything but muh phone for the next 8 hours though. :(

Reading steam some parts seem fishy:
The requirements
They want to charge 70$ for it..
Won't be done for 6-12 months
40k loc only wow!


Still if he pulls it off I can go towards making my project much more lazily as I won't be working towards general usage!

Trailer has lots of pathos indeed, but if for example one of the zK trailers had voice-over it would come out similiar. For hobby project the video is very well done I think.

Or it is heavily modified spring but I did not recognize anything at all...
Linking it on spring's moddb profile might have been accidently or for purpose of advertising. If it was based on spring I would excpect it to mentioned somewhere, but nothing.

Supposedly there was a demo once at http://www.rtscreator.net/ but now is unavailable. Maybe someone finds it somewhere else?

Quick assumption though is that if it was spring, he'd have shown actual terrain.

Looks rather immature, especially the fog of war part..
Wouldn't buy it myself (especially not for that price!), but it would still probably be good if he used Spring for it (unless it was so bad that the negative reputation would further damage Spring..)

I think it was posted automatically or someone bribed moddb because same shit showed up on the page of my spring game.

I really dont know whats supposed to be the point of pushing news on other projects.

I wish we had a space game we could play right now actively maintained with proper space maps rather than digging up stuff like THIS

well. it should work fine with spring atm. Just some of the win conditions are dysfunctional, if i am not mistaken.

what would an rss feed help, though? just curious.

Give me a script and I can narrate it for you. Some say I can imitate the narrator in TA quite well. :D
