Basically what's going on is that they are posting concept art and having a recurring contest... if you can design a model that's up to spec you have a chance of them licensing it from you, with you retaining ownership and the right to licence it to other projects.

I know there are a few of you out there who would be nominally interested in getting paid to do something you are already doing.
