Can't load Maps archive in SpringLobby[Solved]

Post by onezeno »

I just reinstalled Spring after a fairly long hiatus. I'm failing at launching from SpringLobby, with the error:

Couldn't load archive 'tropical.smf' for 'Tropical.smf'.

Map is in ~/.spring/maps

The map shows up in the lobby and is displayed properly. I tried it with BA and with NOTA. I also tried renaming the file to lower-case, leaving a copy with each name, etc.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Might be a corrupt download. Maybe try downloading tropical again?

I tried several different popular maps, all downloaded from springfiles. I can try redownloading them, but I doubt they were all corrupted.

Turns out I just have to update the lobby version.
