Feature Request (Game Stats)

Post by CaptainMaim »

I saw that his was mentioned once before in passing. But I was wondering if a player kills/losses chart could be implemented on an F key or on tab or something.

I'd like to at least see something like this:
Against:___1___2__ 3 Tota Kills, Total losses, Kill scorel Total Units Built
------------------------
Player 1|__ 0___4___9___15________13_________15_|_____50
Player 2|__ 5___0___2___7_________7__________7__|_____<Avalible after game>
Player 3|___8___3___1__ 12________12_________10_|_____ <Avalible after game>
------------------------
It's not a wholy new concept but I've always wanted to know how badly I beat or was beaten by particular players in non-dual games.

If anyone else has any other stats that they'd really like to see... Suggest them.

(I'm sure if anyone makes a suggestion the first will be the standard economy stats, harvested/wasted resources. Which are also nice to see...)

Economy details should not be available to players, though. After the game sure, and MAYBE to spectators, but not to players...

/me remembers the .units controversy

Well, the new GUI does all that, any more (when will it be finishd....)

But i would really like (for replays) to have one income bar per player (would make observing resource managament much easier)

yeah! that would make reviewing reps take 1/2 or a 1/3 as much time!!!

Speaking of replays, does anyone know why my replays never seem to replay anything but the commander's movements only?

Also, yeah I know, econ isn't something you'd show mid game. That'd be such a dead giveaway. I just didn't feel like editing that detail when I wrote it.

Also, the new GUI never worked for me, it just crashed. I never got to see it.

Hmm... I think it'd be nice if it could take some sort of unit snapshot, now that you mention it. I was forever having problems with reviewing demos in OTA just cause I'd modify my units and then the replays wouldn't work out.

Papasky: My problem is I'm still trying to get these units I got to fit in, their build menus are overlapping so I can't make some of the units. So if I modify or remove or whatever then my replays brake.... But yeah that must be it. Cause the last game I played worked out just fine.

I think there needs to be a unit snapshot option or something taken for the replay to use instead of using the units in the Spring directory. (This in my case would increase each demo by about 4 megs but seems a small price to pay to get a replay to replay.) (And also some sort of sorting of pictagraphic addtion to the unit blocker, as well as a save/load unit blockings like the original TA had.)
