Crashing for years, only solution was System Restore? wtf?

I'm really getting sick and tired of spring crashing over no reason bullshit, regardless of what .exe Im using the game will crash. Regardless if I reinstall, the game will still crash (deleting the entire Spring Folder too), no matter what, this gay error will still pop-up.


Now, here are solutions which DO NOT fit my criteria:

A) I do not use a ATI card, my graphics drivers ARE up to date
B) It is not an issue with mods/maps because I have reinstalled and it still failed.

Err, whenever Spring launches, it crashes :P, does I thought I was doing pastebin wrong, because nothing came up.

It's the same error most people who have ATI Cards that are not updated... excepted, I've updated, and, I use Nvidia... >.> (the oxc000005 error)

Be specific. You can delete your infolog and not get a new one? What is the exact error message, word for word. Type it out if you can't ctrl+C the dialog box.

The infolog does show there is no crash, just a clean exit.

You have 2gig ram and Vista. That cannot be good.

Vista is a memory pig, it needs 1gig just for itself. Maybe Spring needs more.

But as others said, your infolog does not indicate a crash.

Vista most certainly runs fine on 2gigs of ram. Anyhow, its strongly recommended to upgrade to win7
