It's still not loading for me after about 4 minutes. That's it, going back to 0.45. I'm sick of these updates for Spring and the lobby's. Every update just causes a whole new batch of crap to happen.

i guess it's your comp cause it worked on every vista/seven i tested it on

I'm still getting the crash at initializing unitsync.dll with http://tasclient.licho.eu/TASClientLatest.7z that I just downloaded and replaced everything with.

Edit: details from my event log

Edit: I'm going to uninstall Spring, nuke my Spring directories, and start fresh with the latest TASClient to see if that fixes my problem.

Edit: Nope, doesn't work even after nuking my Spring directory plus any Spring related items I could find in my Application Data folders.

what do you mean by crash ? the vista "application is not responding" is not a crash ...

Nah, I get an actual "This application has crashed" message from Vista.

Steps Satirik and I have tried:

1. disabling UAC
2. disabling anti-virus
3. Removing all but one mod and 8 maps (Missed 7 maps in my map removal)
4. WindowsXP compatibility mode (Combined with previous steps)
5. Windows 2000 compatibility mode (Combined with previous steps)
6. Checking DEP settings to make sure it isn't covering TASClient

The MD5 hash for my unitsync.dll in C:\Program Files\Spring\ is d99b901e9a491643d4fca013629a56c9 and my TASClient MD5 is 753ec22eec7e3833b6aa4ee07b90d1fd

a friend of mine had the same problem on win vista, he had UAC disabled, and i think he tried some compatibility things too.
nothign more to say though, it worked for him with springlobby on the same system.
