i recently downloaded spring, but never actually used it because i didn't know how to put mods etc, i tried registering in the spring lobby and it tells me "Couldn't get your spring versions from any unitsync library"
i don't know what that is, but i searched in the options, and i saw the directory of my supposed unitsync library, so i went to that directory and found it was only a link, the link target says "../libunitsync.so", also, if i try to edit the directories for either the executable or the unitsync library in the option, the whole thing closes. i don't know what to do! oh and also i downloaded balanced annihilation from the spring files website but i don't know where to install it...

Re: cannot find unitsync
Try asking for help in the #springlobby channel, which you automatically join every time you log in to the server.
There's an autoconfigure option in the Options->Spring tab. Try that for the unitsync location problem (don't forget to hit "apply").
Mods are installed into the "mods" subdirectory of your Spring data dir, which is probably ~/Spring or ~/spring, unless you chose a different one the first time you ran SL.
