I'd like some camera mode that behaves like TA view but can be rotated to the side as well. The difference to rotatable overhead would be that rotating the view happens around the spot in the center (compare vertical rotation in TA and rotatable view) and stuff like zoom to cursor would work and clicking on the minimap would move the center of the view there, not the camera itself so you can actually see the spot you clicked on instead of having it somewhere below your view.

But actually instead of a new view, just fix the rotatable overview, there is no reason zooming would decenter, and there is no reason the T-"center on unit"-key wouldn't center the unit on the screen.

That the rotatable view still rotating around the camera position is fine with me. If it rotated along the spot on the ground on center, that would cause havoc with horizontalish view, when the center is on the horizon. I feel that rotating the camera along its current position is more convenient.

It's the zooming and the centering that *really* needs fixing.

However, I whined alot over this already, so this is unlikely to get fixed. :cry:

Also zoom to cursor for Rotatable would do wonders.
