Con start is awesome, but chickens need some rudimentary balancing if they're included as an option (and if it is, shouldn't it be a faction option rather than com morph?). All T1 chicken is way op, cost and buildtime are nothing like they should be.
This is the reason that there is a separate option for <constart> from an option for <constart+chickenstart>. Having chickens as a full fledged faction right now might confuse newbies who are unaware that there are still balancing issues, so only people who delve into the mod options can try it out, and still have the option of only constart with no chicken.

Also notice that when a player morphs into chickens it is revealed in a message to everyone in the game. So it's equivalent to choosing a faction in the lobby where everyone is aware of it.

yes, because I have soo much free time.

I ask for shots because I cannot grab the latest Ca for some reason and I am busy modeling for my own project.

yeah mannored, have you seen the list of models that have been done? I have been texturing like a beast, in another two weeks most of the new models will be done. That doesn't mean I am stopping there. There are maps and testing to do. It wouldn't take you 5 minutes to post a shot and not that you would play it but I work a lot on gundam. Is it too much to ask for one shot?

I want to keep working and I would love to see more but as I have said MANY times, I cannot get CA for soem reason the downloader is fucked up for me. I don't have to time to devote to figuring out why it is fucked up.

That bloom shot makes me really wish the bloom shader would work with my setup!

That is a glamour shot that does not reflect how bloom looks most of the time. In my opinion, bloom shader looks like crap on most maps/angles.

what ever happened with saktoth's spherebot stuff? I still do not like them but I thought what he was doing by making several variants based on the one already completed was a great thing,

I like those two, combined with the already existing sphere bot it looks neat. I really think he should keep making variants like this.

On the one hand, up close those look freaking awesome. I mean, I love the models to death... but I worry about distinguishing between related units at long view. Remember how many permutations Fang had to go through before we could tell his L1 units apart? Same problem.

pxtl, that is because the chasis for those level 1 units are identical. The only thing that is different are the guns. I was the one who helped fang come up with the new designs for the urc level1 units.

Well, same model or not, they have a great deal in common with each other. The proportions look different, but the head/torso/legs look like they're otherwise the same, but with the added backpack on the dual-gun model. The arm weapons are the chief distinction, and even they have the same texture styling. I just don't think that's enough difference to make them usable from a TA zoomed view.

Considering that the units are viewed from the top (where the URC weapons were) I'd think they're about as similar from unit to unit as Fang's models were, at least when viewed from a traditional zoom range.

I'd love to see some zoomed-out in-game shots to prove me wrong, though. Personally, I'd add a splash of unit-specific colour to make them more distinct. It'd be a little ugly, but it would pay out in spades in the long view.

different arms parts and size of body are distinctive in form, additional flares of color would be good but I don't think that is what he was going for. Also by adding more colors you get into colorblind people crying and there will have the be more textures versus them sharing one map.

believe me, I have to do all kinds of crazy things to make gundam units look different while still using the colors and shapes from the originals. Of course, being able to add team color helps :).

Nobody is gonna confuse a glaive for a warrior unless they're thick. The way the stand idle, size, movement and all makes the models top down look totally different.

Ditto for the Jethro model. It's about as different as an AK and a pyro, and I don't see people complaining that they can't tell those two apart.

Top down is how they're most different.
