Yes, but I'd rather have mappers focus on some other type of map.

No, we don't need more FFA maps at all.

I think autohost bot owners can also be blamed for the situation. I couldn't find llamas or deadlock on any of the hosts I visited.

This is also true. Thing is you can ask autohosts to add them I have done that and they seem to be fairly receptive

heh its more my bad than anything for that;

in evorts the units are called Iammans, which i had read as lammans. so essentially i spelled both Iammans and Llamas.

deadlock i actually played a few lan games of, it was a great... lots of fun, let alone that its gorgeous

Image remember this one? i could probably make this now, thanks to xnormal

Go easy on the shadow baking, tiger :wink:

I love the Iammas design though. It's perfect, but tbh, it is a really hard map for me to play because you have to be extremely aggressive with your expansion. Makes for some decidedly unique gameplay.

All ffa maps see to follow the same idea: land in middle, water round outside. Maybe a map where there is a lake in the middle and land round the outside would be nice?

I made a map like that... it was called "Metal Ocean" http://springfiles.com/spring/spring-maps/metalocean (it's super old so it might need to be fixed for the latest Spring)

This tiny image will make for an excellent render...not.

Also since this thread was posted, I made two maps that don't conform to the ffa stereotype of land surrounded by water (well, sort of). So.. this 3 yr old thread had some impact. :-)

There's a full-res version of that somewhere, but i think you'll need to ask those guys around. It's not particularly hard to find :P

I was wandering if there is some plan for realizing bigger ffa map. Hardware can really cope with that now and would be fun to have some of the original map doubled or quad to have huge size like old-TA.
