Nice, Might be time to reformat my old drive and stick buntu back on it. I think I might try kubuntu as I hear good things. Kubuntu is almost exactly the same as ubuntu right?

I haven't been watching the dev forum lately, but has there been a change in the release cycle to better match something like ubuntu?
Nice, Might be time to reformat my old drive and stick buntu back on it. I think I might try kubuntu as I hear good things. Kubuntu is almost exactly the same as ubuntu right?
Kubuntu is just ubuntu with the kde packages installed and used instead of the gnome ones, so you don't really have to reformat.

i have kde4 on ubuntu and also gnome at the same time, just install kde packages and select as session kde on login screen and it's done :-)

is there any way to stop my ubuntu screensaver from stealing focus from fullscreen spring?

inb4 turn off monitor

I had the same very annoying problem.
I just turned off the screensaver, but I think running spring windowed could work.

running spring windowed is a better idea anyway, you can use your WM to make it maximized while preserving all the features like alt-tab, etc.
