Thats the problem: It doesnt. Its too hard to hide him, even more due to the fact that he is show in a all special way on radar, but he also got too few health for his importance and can be killed easly.
For the 2438th time

PUT HIM ON CLOAK UNDER A RADAR JAMMER GG

edit

owh and don't put him too much on the front when there a hundreds of units fighting there....
If the enemy seens a loney radar jammer in your base, it will be obvius that the commander is hiding near by and then he will destroy it and attack the commander. Also, cloacking the commander costs a insane amount of energy, what will weaken your economy.

Sneaky Pete anybody?

I think Peet should have a unit in BA. Well, honestly, when I finally get somebody to listen to me on renaming the units for the OTA based mods, I'm just going to push to have each named after a member of the community.

Min3Mat = Jethro
Smoth = Morty
Peet = Sneaky Pete
Tired = AK

And so it goes...

I Lolled IRL tbh honest

if he can penetrate that deep into your base that easily.. then you would have lost anyway...

If he can penetrate that deep and doesn't defeat you with ease, hell will freeze.

at the point that you want to cloak and hide your comm, you should be able to spam radar jammers across a lot of your base anyway (adv jammers). its a good practice IMHO.

Just tough in one thing:

With a too weak commander, com ends becomes boring because the whole game is a hunt for the commy and its hard to defend him with the so many diferent ways of attack we have in our mods.

With a too strong commander the game is also boring because the enemy will push the front with the com, you will have to do the same to not stay with too few area and lose, the coms will kill each other and both teams will lose or, in com continues, be cripled for life.

So I think we should add a superbunker for the commy like I suggested before! :)

If you didnt went kbots you cant (unleash you waste like 3000 metal of course :) ) , and you can very well kill the enemy com before he haves 5000 metal (At least that was his price the last time I checked) and a tech 2 factory to waste all that metal with a decoy commander that pretty much sucks (for his price) in anything but looking like the com... :)

Just one thing I noticed, but the com is one of the only military units (if not the only) that haves less hp than it costs in metal... :)

Personally I think that decoy commanders should be made real commanders, altough that could create problems like "combomb storms" I think its still worth a try.

What I did once, when I had ca svn, was move the decoycoms out of lvl2 kbot plant and into all the lvl2 cons buildlist. Commanders are sort of outside of techtrees anyway.
Could also lower the Ecost and bt a bit imo, I think the point where you can have the most fun with it is early-ish lvl2 rather than late game.

If you put cheat on they aparear as "tech 0". Thats raises the question: Who made then? :)

Cloacking your commander and putting him into hold fire costs 100 e if the comm remains stationary, if you are arm you can even put a cloacked radar jammer next to it and you'll be 100% invisible,

COST:

Metal : 226
Energy: 7945

and 100 E per tick, thats 1 advanced solar and 1 normal solar.

OH-MY-GOD-ITS-SO-HARD-TO-HIDE-MY-COMMANDER :(((
