Intensive development has stopped for me at least for now due to the approach of school. Still, I do have a project: NATO symbols.

All current symbols at the same time:
Image
[13:40:43] <[W]Evil4Zerggin> if it actually represented a unit it would be something like a heavy stationary special-forces amphibious wheeled halftracked fixed-wing naval airborne anti-tank anti-air armored infantry assault rocket mortar engineer signal headquarters fireteam section platoon company battalion regiment
Eventually I hope to make a widget that clusters units and displays an appropriate symbol for them.

For the sake of humour, the finalized Finnish texture against Spiked's German one.

spikeds looks way more realistic there but ingame the finnish one will work much better, because these carefully camoflaged units with intricate little texture details blend into the terrain to end up looking more like brown blobs. spark contrasting texture will show up much better

Though in truth, both textures have the same number of details, and the Finnish camouflage really does look like that.

That StuG texture was pretty much the very first 3d texture I ever did. Man that was awhile ago. It really needs to just be redone (along with at least half of the current textures).

"final" turret. i should've posted only the turret to start off with and then made people guess what it was.

not sure which is what, but top left one is alot better.

also the other day I had to stop on my way home from work because a military convoy full of old tanks on trailers was rolling by. it was so many types of tanks it must have been for a museum or something. You s44 people would have loved it. I should have taken pics so u all could have figured out what they were.

Coolest one was a massive amphibious transport. Thing was just so huge and had awesome big treads and stuff :D

yeah that looks very similar, if not exactly it. I dont get a sense of scale in that pic but this thing was the size of a small house.'

the trailers looked like this:

there were about 20, and each had a tank on it. Some were small and i could tell they were all rather old, with that massive amphib looking the most modern (covered tread wheels, and less mechanical/steampowered looking, i dunno)

Maybe not quite the size of a house, but they are quite massive

There's an LVT in S44 in the naval yards afaik, though its a support version with a gun not a transport one.

Sure it wasn't one of these or these, though?

Is that some kind of threat to keep it out of the game?

Definitely an LVT then (rather than a later LVTP).

If it had a turret, then perhaps it was the version that is in S44, LVT(A)4:
