Another Suggestion to solve our Problems: How about getting some Professional Help - for free! We could ask some Students for Socialogy or PsychoTheraphists from other Boards to help in Comunity Crisis situation to find out, were it comes from - and see patterns. Just a suggestion. In Return he (or she) could use the Comunity for Research...

PicassoCT: Sometimes people disagree and you can't fix everything... There is no solution to this, and I doubt very much that people want to be analyzed by some annoying psychology students. Can you drop this solution finding stuff? *sigh*

Well i wont post on this anymore, but giving up on something ? Sb got to do this work - and this is work, ugly, annoying work, but work. This is not about insulting anyone - but avoiding further unproductive Conflict. You re Posts about the Problems you had working with AF sounded as if you also wanted to avoid such Scenes in the Future. I consider your Time to Worthy to get Wasted in Drama-Conflicts & Bugsearch (without Bugfixresults).

Some Suggestions may be bad, but one of hundred is going to be usefull...

lol, the forums need professional help! Honestly, I think internet forums probably make for very interesting research platforms for psych people. I suspect people here are best suiting their ego's by leaving the conflicts the way they are for the time being, I really doubt that all parties involved in most of these issues really even want to be helped.

So whatever drama we have, it seems pretty under control these days. Things could be a lot worse. It's not like the old days with .4, but things are pretty nice here compared to a lot of boards.
#1 :I'll pretend to be a PHyscologist to sort out everyone's problems.....

#2. That link is the funniest shit I've read in a long, long time.

Person1: "well you do need AA to play OTA afterall..."

Person2:"Uh, I'm not sure whether he's referring to antialiasing or Absolute Annihilation, but either way it makes no sense."

Peron3:"Maybe in your blind arrogance you misunderstood what I was saying. Your post, "well you do need AA to play OTA afterall...", is nonsensical garbage, because you do not need antialiasing to play OTA. In order to compensate for your idiocy the considerate people at TAU try other meanings for the acronyms you use. If you, the poster, had made the effort to ensure that your post was correct, you wouldn't have risen a rank on the idiot scale by insulting us in a further reply."

#3 My proposal for disfusing any touchy threads: When things start to head south post a link to a TAU thread. Problem Solved.

The spring community is so tight. It dosnt turnabout that much and since players also help develop the game there is a real sense of group hobby. as a result, spring players are always in communication, and relationships develop between players.

this also means players express themselves much more, which is often good, but it means that competetiveness arises as its far more important to beat someone you "know" than some random stranger.

I think AF was a nice guy, a good gamer, he just had an unrealistic way of looking at development. spring is capitalist and he was the optimistic communist who beleived we all should work together for greater spring.

of course, in real life people hang socialists from trees and use their bodys to fill craters in roads, so people attacked him, so there was flamewars. I dont for a second think it reflects badly on AF. its more that people are not tollerant enough. just because someone wants to make a diffrence but dosnt have the means it dosnt mean you should tread him into the mud. AF wanted glory, but he wanted it for improving somthing good which is fair in my eyes. it shouldnt be a matter of "he thought he could code better than blahblah, lets reject his idea" it should be if he or anyone has a good idea or product they should be humoured and supported. driving AF away was the work of people being territorial and vicous in a hope to gain kudos.

It shouldnt matter if your betalord or supernoob, if you have an oppinion you shouldnt be gutted for it.

too many players are damn fucking arrogant in this community, think that because their in a prestigious clan or have been around a while they can spit down on other players. if someone makes a suggestion that is wrong they get pumped with abuse and "stfu noob".

I guess since there is no consequences people are always going to be jackasses on here, but driving away players who work hard on springs content for everyones good just because they are not good at fighting with words is despicable. you shouldnt have to.

urgh I feel like a commy

I'm a Sociology major. And possibly a Psychology major.

Doesn't that explain my behaviour here?

Quick question...Am I construed as arrogant, cause I don't intend to. Cause lots of people say: "Lots of people are _______" and I'm always worry that I fall into whatever is in that blank...

Actually people should give less a shit about what other people think of them. Just be yourself and everything will be ok.

I do what rattle said.

Either that, or I just view everything in a Lighthearted manner

Or, I'm just tired. I go lighthearted (and rather unfunny) when I'm tired. My friends who have seen me in such a state say I look drunk when I'm tired.

You lot are seriously a bunch of flaming-pants fairies.

"Oh noes! This community is mean! Lets try some exciting activities to help us all get along! And maybe we can bring in a psychologist to help us with our problems!"

If this is your way of dealing with mean people, you are seriously unprepared for the internet.

My way of dealing with mean people, in real life, is to undercut their argument by agreeing with them. And, to my suprise, it works.

Even if it's 4chan, it roughly describes the current situation...
