i know that it knows the metal that it's extraction, because the exploiter in AA turns relative to the metal it's getting... wind is probably the same, too

is it an actual get XXXX value, or can you get overall production of the unit? if you can get that, you can figure out how much metal its on/what the wind is from that..

I didn't see any get constants for that, my intuition tells me it's most likely hardcoded to turn pieces with specific names...

It's hardcoded to specific BOS functions (meaning that yes you can figure out the amount via the script)
