WOW, I wish my renderer worked like that, hehe its opengl or something like that :-)

However the tank looks, I dunno what to say, good I guess would be the word, or maybe not lol

Oh and Yea, I see what I could make that like in Wings, hehe wouldn't be hard

My bro is still on other computer :/

How many polys?

well i think it aint very right on dimensions and needs alot of work to match every component to the right size.. it's kinda 'bolgy' (can be good or bad)

here's one with the relative size of flashes.. at least how big i would make it :)

That probably isn't exactly a "20 min" tank, because you probably spent more time planning its design. Well, at least for myself it would be, my "off-the-top" models are usually a bit less thought through, because I rarely have the faintest idea of how a tank SHOULD look... They do have quite a lot of details though, Lightwave makes goblinizing easy. :)

It's fine except for those cannons, I believe they should get smaller not bigger at end. lol, just my foolish opinion hehe

The reason the turret looks bad is cuz someone said somthing bout Spring just rounding it or something...

Oh and my tank, tell me how it is :?

I will not be able to show you something that I did untill we get a unit into the final stages. So just so you know I'm not making SnipaWolf do all the work for me.
Maybe I'll show you some concept art with artpad in the meantime.
Don't get down, we will have a commander soon.

well modelling is one thing, texturing is totally different.

oh and you can make 6 sided anything you would like to be round as said somewhere else.

well, really, except for the renderings, which took around 6 mins each. The tank modelling was directly from sketch, without any 'planning' or so. Normally a would make some sketches first, but it's a digital design, so things can be altered in a flash.

Details can be very nice, but most can be done with texturing aswell, and this keeps the poly-count low.

I wish this project goodluck.

BTW snipahWolf, i think the basic layout for the tank is okay, but you need to work on it, and again, don't only use the spheres. Model something that is yours. Would give it much more character.

Well, more minor changes, hehe, looks better without tracks hehe

Anyone's opinions? Please?

And this one dropped the original (first pic) by 5 TIMES THE AMOUNT OF POLY's! This one had approx. 1700, that one had about 8500 or so!

Sure thanks, it makes me happy to have support :-)

I will make spheres when they seem "Needed" to keep the rotation and stuff I'll post a pic of this "example" soon, hehehe

Edit: DAMN lol, I dropped 400 by dropping those 4 spheres, hehe time for modern turrets...

get rid of the rims, that is covered via texture. Flattent the insides of your tread and remove the tits from the front of the tank

I'm going work out in a min, but yea got rid of "tits" lol flatten treads, don't understand, and rims kinda came with the wheels, they actually are the face, I will try to delete the edges that make it look like that, peace!

It seems SnipaWolf's style is not modeling ships. I thought I would try to whip up a dropship for the Human commander. I may post a few screens of it in UpSpring soon.
By the way.... we need help making names for the 4 races. I'm not good at making up names.
