It's hardly arrogant to expect to be able to enjoy a well deserved victory.

Throwing around emotive hyperbole such as "arrogant" hardly constitutes an effective argument. By the same standards, people who quit early are sore losers.

It has nothing to do with humiliation, unless you have some sort of difficulty losing. Losing is part of learning, and part of the game. Quitting early sends a bad message; it says that it is fine not to face the consequences of your defeat; fine not to make concessions to your opponent; fine not to garner respect for an enemy that has just defeated you; and fine to quit when things start looking bad for you, even when a better player would stick at it, and might even be able to snatch victory from the clutches of defeat.

I am not saying quitting when you have three measly structures is bad - but don't quit when your front line falls, or that bertha you've been funnelling all your resources into is destroyed. It is not as if the line is blurred - it is rather evident if you are quitting too early. And if you are confused, it is simple as saying:

"You've clearly won, gg. Do you mind if I ctrl+d?"

If a team has obviously won and still has mopping up to do, but the losing team still has substatiative stuff left (i.e. they don't only have mexes and cloaked dragon's eyes and such), perhaps the winning team should take the initiative and indicate whether they'd rather the losing team quit so that everyone can get to a new game, or the losing team continue to "fight to the last man".
