a subtle way then ringing, on chat alerts would be nice.
the 'you've got mail' sound ^.^'

It got betalord cool loading screen.
But can you adapit it to say Altaclient?
If you wan't I'll be more then happy to design a loading screen for you

version 1.390

1.309 cause it's almost 1.4 but need some changes before to deserve the version

changelog :

1.390 : (03/13/06 ; zip size = 1 290 068)
sound packs support (one is ready, but not used)
in lobby web browser (sorry, it's IE)
link to file universe "search" feature (for recently uploaded files)
Ban list for hosts tired of kicking again and again the same guy
Cpu and rank auto kick (you are able to join whatever your rank is on normal hosts)
Lock game speed now locks at desired speed (not only 1, you choose)
Generation of battle reports (which is NOT used for ANYTHING at the moment)

known bug : talking in spring don't use correct shift state and QWERTY keyboards

if you have nice sounds you think would fit, please send them :)

but hey other then that it looks very promising (barely had time to even look at the features it has , much less to test them out)
but yes looks pretty nice

EDIT:: dunno if you noticed this but the norank autokick feature is bugged from what ive seen.
having it on normal (min rank 1) it kicks every guy with 1 stripe wich is a bit bad. (no min rank lower than that is setable)

i merged with new version but as no one cares, i doubt i'll upload it nor continue developing it ...

I know more stars than any other rank, so they're the obvious choice. I don't like spamming the main channel with links, but I will go to those lengths to get Altaric to keep coding.

I've got a suggestion - how about a vote that lists the maps available from FU , so that the players can vote on them. Maybe an option to only vote for maps that the host has and disallowing voting by specs.

OK, just realised it's a little unclear - I'd just like a mapvote... But is this possible between different clients?

What I'd like to see are personal contact lists so we can see the online status of people we talk to often, chat with them etc, I'd also like it if we could seperate chat fromt he main window into a seperate window, say have #main in the lobby window and every other window in a seperate window should we choose...

That and the ability to swap the user list from the right hand side to the left hand side.....

How hard would it be to add a feature that would allow you to set anyone in the lobby to be the spring host. That I could join a game and be set to host the spring game as a spec, but let other people chose the settings. That would allow me to host for others, but I wouldn't have to worry about choseing the game type.

I miss an obtion like "follow this player into the server" so if the marked player joins a game, you join this game to...
