I am terrible at naming things, but I was thinking it should be called the Smasher, because I had envisioned it rolling over fields of Peewee corpses, lasers blaring from all sides as it crushed its way to victory.

And I must apologise to diggz- that wasn't meant personally. I've been working on this thing too long, is all, and the thought of doing yet another version ... eeek... I do not want to see that PSD again. I've put something like 25 hours into this, which is a ridiculous amount by my standards (I have a very, very busy life, so I can only fit in modding occasionally on weekends or late at night).

If I might make a suggestion, it resembles a Civil war ship I read about in History class..

"The Mirrimac" now granted it was water based ship in the Civil war, but it was a unique ship of the era, and it had 8 guns pointing in all directions and was the first of two oposing metal armored ships in that war and basically a mini destroyer.

Worth a shot, what do you think?

that unit would suck unless in the middle of a bunch of enemies and a wise enemy won't let that happen. otherwise way better to have rotating guns on top and then cannons facing either side. giving u the ability to devastate your foe with one 'broadside' and allowing you to either fight on two fronts or turn to present fresh guns should the ones on the side be damaged.

I think that it would be the kind of unit that you just plow 10 of into an enemy swarm, where the only way the enemies can attack it effectively is to surround it.

Good job on the retex Argh. Now, lets just hope these people realize that unit with that many of the same guns is meant to be a super swarm stopper and not a super goliath :roll:

It just makes me think that it needs flamethrowers...and you need to call it the Salamander (the Mirrimac is a good name too).

See it'll be a core unit and so it will plow into a wave of Pewee's and just torch them!

MUHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Hmm. Flamethrowers... that'd be cute...

I still think it should have a plasma repulsor, so that MRPCs don't just make it go boom- it'd be nice if there was a definate point to Merls and Annihilators :-)

hmm, flame throwers with some sort of plasma repulsor... if only it could plant mines as well.. that would be some sort of awesome. :).

If the SYs will build in a way for units to "throw" mines, instead of having to laboriously build them like buildings, I'll build a unit for them that will do that.

Hmm. I don't think that'll do it. Maybe a low-velocity weapon with hightrajectory forced and a veeeeeery long flighttime + groundbounce... hmm...
